Cleaning Dentures Toothcrafters' cleaning tools

Keeping our dentures clean is an important part of complete oral hygiene. It's important to clean off food particles or tartar build-up on both the acrylic tooth and the plate to prevent bacteria and fungus from growing.

HINT: Turn denture hygiene into a daily habit

Brushing Toothcrafters' cleaning tools

Be sure to brush with a special denture brush and denture paste. Ordinary toothbrushes and toothpastes can be too abrasive and could damage the surface of your denture.

Brushing is very good at helping remove plaque build-up, tartar and food particles.

Handle dentures carefully when removing them. Remember, dentures are fragile when taken out of the mouth. Dropping them even a few inches into an empty sink could break the denture base or a tooth. To avoid this, fill the sink with water when removing dentures or when brushing.

Soaking Toothcrafters' cleaning tools

Soaking your dentures every night or during the day as directed can clean away any food particles from spaces between the teeth that brushing can't reach. It can help remove odour-causing bacteria. Tablets are convenient to use and give dentures a more complete clean. Remember, dentures are more delicate than teeth, so it is very important to clean them by soaking
